I bought this primarily for the arm band feature. I use it for the clip. It turns out the armband is not my thing but the case by itself is great. The clip is very secure on my rear pocket. I did make one modification to the case. I ground it down around the headphone jack to allow for a cable with a fat molding to work interference free. One slight bummer is that I have to remove the lower half of the case to dock it. It does come apart easy but I am worried I will lose it.

I purchased this case for my wife. She loves it! It was easy to put the Nano into the case and it stays put. I also like the fact that you can take the Nano off the band and use the clip. She uses the armband when she goes to the gym and says it is very comfortable.

Most of the time, I carry around my Nano in my pocket. I went with the hard plastic case because I didn't want it to stick to the pocket, and I haven't been disappointed (the clip can be removed, despite what @Jess says in her review - I used a small flat-head screwdriver with a little bit of effort). I haven't yet tested out the armband.
Unlike @CK1, I have had no problems connecting earbuds or other audio wires into the Nano with the case on.

I had looked and looked for an Ipod Nano 5g case with a belt clip, and they are very rare. I finally found this one, and am very happy with it. Not only does it protect my Ipod, but I can coil up the earbud cord, and store it under the belt clip when I'm not using the Ipod.

My case has taken a beating and it still works great. I hate to imagine what my iPod would look like without it.
