The Best ! March 20, 2010 D. C. Figenshu (Poconos Pa.) I use FRS/GMRS radios for my volunteer ski group at Jack Frost Mountain in the Poconos, and the Motorola EM1000R outperform stronger wattage Cobras, Midlands and a host of other radios. Mountainous terrain is always a challenge for a portable radio, but these are consistently, stronger and perform well under some pretty extreme conditions. Even below 0 degrees the batteries hold up well and the small LED light provides an added bonus. I plan on purchasing a few more to use while motorcycling and hiking. They are also a great option to an in-house paging system
talk about March 19, 2010 A. Eidelman (oceanside, NY, US) good in my area for up to 1 mile and very good in house . nice to have battery charger
waste of money March 13, 2010 AR Brought this on vacation to keep track of kids as an alternative to expensive roaming charges while out of country. The one time we needed it to work, it didn't. End of Story.
Does what it's supposed to do, good price March 11, 2010 javylsu No complaints for the advertised range. I used them on a road trip to communicate between cars and they functioned perfectly.
Perfect for camping March 9, 2010 M. Lacey (Las Vegas) So far these are perfect for camping, hiking and our main use is backing in the motorhome without screaming. lol
