Does exactly what it's supposed to do July 30, 2010 X. LI This little USB phone does exactly what it's supposed to do and I did not even need to install any drivers, Windows XP's built-in USB sound device driver works. The sound quality is good enough for online phone talkings.
Good little device July 11, 2010 E. D. Loesch (Pacific Northwest) This VOIP phone is a good value for the money; it is exactly as described. Windows Vista recognized it instantly when plugged into a Dell Inspiron laptop (via Gigaware hub). Sound is sufficiently loud, the echo is cancelled on Skype, it rings nicely when a call comes in, and it has already survived several drops to the hardwood floor. It's easy to use compared to a headset for non-video calls.
Phillips VOIP 151 USB Phone May 5, 2010 DeLoris (Ohio, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this phone to use with Skype. It works great! I have Windows 7 - 64-bit and truly, I was expecting problems. I was prepared to send it back. I just followed the directions and everything ran perfectly. My friends are happy that they can now hear me far better than with my microphone! I love this phone and for the price I am very pleased. I would highly recommend it to any Skype user!
The biggest "cell" phone I ever had! April 22, 2010 K. A. Monson (Wichita KS) A great little device for the price! That's not a bad thing, I like things that work like they cost big bucks but don't.
I have a blind musician friend and if he tells me something sounds good it does. He loved the audio from this phone and I could hear him like that TV commercial where the two guys have their heads together. LoL!
I installed the software it suggested and the phone installed it's drivers and it worked with Skype right away. I set up the computer so it would stay on when I closed the cover and I put it in my backpack and as long as I have a wifi signal, "Skype Out" credit and the software running (always!) I can make great calls.
The box says it's a wifi phone that works with Skype of course but it also seems that it should work with other VOIP software but it really likes Skype. Oh well, so do I!
Thanks for an inexpensive product that performs so well!
Fantanstic little phone March 31, 2010 B. Breckenfeld (Carrollton, TX) This phone works great and just as advertised. I use it when I don't want to use a lot of minutes on my cell phone such as customer service calls etc. The voice clarity is just as good as my previous VOIP with Vonage and there is no time lag or other problems that I've seen so far. Skype allows usage at no cost for toll free 8xx numbers and charges only about 2 cents/min for other calls to land lines.
