3.5 mini pc Skype mic March 3, 2010 Charles L. Simpson Product seems to be preforming well at this time although I have only had it for a short period of time.
Mini Miceophone February 16, 2010 Bookworm I just wanted to say that this product is very good and am very happy with it. Its good value, easy to use, arrived in the middle of a snowstorm quickly and painlessly, and it works as promised. Those who are seeking complex performance items should maybe look elsewhere but this is great for Skype and other uses for regular microphones. And people, a word, if you want a Jaguar, do not expect to pay the same price for it as you would do a Hyundai. Just saying.
mini mic many problems! February 12, 2010 Jeremy Hughes (Atlanta GA) pros:
-small in size
-no wires to snag
-relatively sleek looking
cons:
- hard to tune it in for use with VOIP services like Google talk and Skype
- because it is so close to the computer some times it is hard to hear on the other end
- ------- -- -- -- ----- -- --- -------- it can cause a screechy echo effect
- ------- -- -- -- ----- -- --- -------- -- picks up just about every sound your computer is making
conclusion:
for a rounded 7 dollars total (price + shipping) you get a mic that is great for travel because of its small size and direct input in to your laptops jack with no messy wires but in being so small and close to the computer it picks up EVERYTHING and i say if you want a mic for home use keep looking. If you use VOIP services i would recommend getting something a little more audio friendly. a desk top mic or a headset combo is probably the way to go!
Pretty Good! February 11, 2010 Explorer So far so good!
Just got it and its working great with my laptop. I specifically got it for an interactive learning program that I am doing and I am relatively pleased with the sound quality.
When the surrounding area is quiet it is superb but I noticed when I took the tv off of mute that it fell off a bit and I either had to raise my voice a little or move in closer to the mic so that it would pick up my voice more clearly/easily.
So other than that little glitch, it is a nice little mic. Plugged it in and I was rockin' and rollin', so....
Oh, huge plus for those traveling about with their laptop/netbook, and need the mic on hand, is that it takes up little to no space if carried in one's pocket or bag for that matter.
So for those on a budget looking for a decent mini mic...buy it.
Mini 3.5mm Voice Micorphone for PC Laptop Skype February 10, 2010 Chris (Ohio, USA) This microphone is doing a very good job for my skype communications. It made a definite improvement for my friends to hear what I was saying over the tiny microphone that was built into the laptop. I leave it attached to the laptop so I am always ready for an unexpected skype from a friend. It lays sideways when I am not using it then I turn it upright when I am ready to use it. It's exactly what I was looking for. I am well satisfied with it.
