4 out of 5 stars Great headset - one downside   May 22, 2010

Been living with this headset for over a year. Love just about everything about it. The charging box always insures that I won't misplace the ear piece when i remove it from my ear. It also makes sure I don't accidentally wash it by leaving it in my coat or pants pocket. The battery life after a year has deteriorated to about 45 minutes of continuous talk, from about 90 minutes when it was brand new. Also, charging from a laptop mini-USB cable works just fine.

4 out of 5 stars Invisio G5 Bluetooth Headset   April 29, 2010

I recently bought this headset for my T-mobile HTC HD2. It paired with it just fine. The audio quality is decent enough. Plays media on my phone directly without any additional software (I realize this probably a feature on my Handset not the bluetooth headset)

Pros:
1. No annoying flashing LED
2. Tiny, contemporary design fits in the ear very nicely.
3. The charging box is awesome. Gives you a option to charge your headset on the move without any plug. And also acts like a storage case.

Cons:
1. A little bit painful if you keep it on for more than an hour or so
2. Volume is slightly less, specially in noisy environment

5 out of 5 stars BEST BLUETOOTH EVER!!!   February 8, 2010

This is the second Invisio I have purchased. The first one still works great so I bought this second one for my mom. She loves it as much as I do. Can hardly see it, but projects voice without having to even raice your voice. Earbud sits comfortably in your ear so you don't even notice it's in. Battery lasts forever, and with the cordless charger you just can't beat it. I paid 120.00 for my first one a year and a half ago and now got the second for 40.00... Don't waste your money on any other bluetooth. But this one and be done....

The fit is great. Very comfortable, and it will stay put all day. Button design is good. Tiny LED is on the "ear" side, so you're not flashing everyone when in a dark room.

But (you know there would be one) it has 2 problems. First and most important, is the transmission range. It's terrible. Works OK if you're holding the phone in your hand, in front of you, or in the car. But if it's in a pocket, or a belt clip, expect to hear nothing but static. I'm sending mine back, in hope it's just a manufacturing defect. If that's one's as bad, I'm getting my money back. The reception is that bad.

And the second problem is the charging system. There are 5 tiny green LED lights in a line that are supposed to indicate the charging status. But instead of doing something simple, like just using the line of light to show the charge level, there are NINE different blink patterns that you have to interpret to know what's going on. You have to use a diagram in the manual, and then try to find where in the text that a particular patter is explained (and although they're numbered 1 through 9, they're not explained in order. And the same patter can have a different meaning, depending on whether or not the earpiece is in the case (because you can charge the case by itself, then use it to charge the earpiece). It's obvious that they simply wanted the lights to "look cool", rather than to give information.

And, as a tangent to the charging system, is the charging cord. The case uses a standard mini-usb connector. The advantage is that you should be able to charge the case from any usb power source, such as your laptop. But the manual strongly warns against using anything but the supplied wall-wart charger. What's the point of using a standardized power connection, if you're stuck using only one power connection?

This is the first and only bluetooth earpiece I have purchased. It works just as good as any earpiece in the market, but it has a style all it's own. The "zippo" style charging case has a mini usb connector at the bottom. The earpiece is very small and lightweight. One thing that I really like is the earspring that keeps it in your ear, no flopping or uncomfortable loops around the ear. It stays charged for a long time and recharges as soon as you put it back in its hard plastic case. The only thing that takes getting used to is the charging indicator on the front of the case (it is explained fully in the manual). Great buy!
