On/off switch for fm transmitter would be better September 8, 2010

iPhone 4 with Otterbox defender fits perfectly, but I would like to leave the pod in my cig lighter, but can not because my lighter is on all the time and so Is the FM transmitter. I've seen a lot of bad reviews about static, yes , hitting the Euro freqs 87.9 would be nice so you don't have to search freqs along the distance you travel. I live 115 miles outside of LA and commute to LA and find that 100.9 is clear the whole route. So I don't get the bad press about static, the unit overpowers partial bleed over easily. My car stereo is a 91 Chrysler infinity. The ability to swing sideways is very useful in GPS motion x drive and my friends with Tom Toms really like how the iPhone with the pod stops the music and gives directions over the stereo system instead of the tiny Tom-Tom speaker.

Install on the product was a breeze.
It works fine most of the time but the dreaded static noise comes in once in a while while driving.
So the sound quality is real bad during that time.
Otherwise the product works fine.
 Device Did Not Fit September 7, 2010

I was hoping to get a device to mount my iPhone in my car. Unfortunately, this device did not fit in my car's power source (cigarette lighter). Whenever I hit a bump, it fell out. The seller was nice and offered to send a separate attachment but I opted to look for a different device. Save yourself the shipping costs and make sure it fits in your car before you buy.

The gadget isn't bad for the price. It is one of the sturdiest of it's kind, however the arm still doesn't stay in the position it's supposed to. Music plays through the radio well and phone calls are good too. I would recommend this product, but mainly due to the low cost.

When I first received the flex pod it didn't fit securely in my over-sized Saab 900 cigarette lighter socket. After an email they immediately sent out a washer kit. Now I have to give it a good yank to get it to come out. Sound quality is on par if not better than CD. Hands free calling is great feature and noticed I had to turn the volume up a tad when doing it. Auto scan feature is a timesaver and saves the hassle of scanning for a free station especially when on a road trip. Now my IPhone 4 can run trapster while giving me directions and playing music all while staying charged.
