I purchased this cable as a supplement and/or replacement to my original 3G OEM cable. When connected to my computer, it appears to sync as normal but halfway through the icon disappears from iTunes and the phone stops charging. Never in my life have I seen this happen with any other cable and/or phone. It also feels as if it's not properly fitting the phone base. Therefore, I rate this product 1 star and would NOT recommend to any potential buyers. For slightly more money you can obtain a quality cord, which I plan to do next. Buyer beware, you get what you pay for.

I purchased two cables. Both look good, but both connectors snags on some interal part of my iPhone and IPOD Classic. I am not going to risk breaking the connector on my Apple devices. Must be a bad lot of cables.

This cable works well for charging. The down side is making the connection to the phone. It is way more work then it needs to be to insert and remove. Considering the price, at one sixth of the original, I can deal with the extra seconds it take to plug in.

The problem i have with the cable is that it doesn't easily slip on and off the connection with the iphone.
I'm also afraid that it will damage the iphone connection.
