This cord is longer than others I've used. It gives a satisfying click when it is plugged into the phone, and it holds securely. However, it does NOT work.
When I plug it directly into the computer, it does not register the connection at all. When I plug it into an AC/USB adapter, it registers on the phone as if it's charging, but it doesn't not charge it at all. I still have my old Apple cord, and that still works fine, so it has to be something wrong with this cable.
I find it hard to justify spending $20 (Apple Store) for a cord to charge my phone, but I'm beginning to think that's what it's going to take. I've had too many experiences with poor quality products. I just want something that works and which I can rely upon.

Easy sells experience. Product arrived when promised and in the condition stated online. I use the cords only for charging. When I have attemptd to use to update iPhone, no luck. It will go through the motions of updating, but when you check you will see that your phone has not actually updated. I have since purchased a USB cord from apple and I use that cord to complete software updates.

It seemed to work fine, however, after the 2nd time I used it, it broke. Problem with it is that the piece that goes to the iPhone is made of 2 separate pieces. One piece stayed in the phone and the other piece came off. This caused the little glue that was holding the wire together, come apart. Needless to say, the cable was useless after that.
